Answer

Although meta description tags are not a major factor search engines consider when ranking sites, they should not be left off the page.
The meta description tag may influence a person to actually click on the search engine results and visit your page.

When you write a meta description tag, you should limit it to 170 characters or 200 characters at most. The description should be relevant to the content of the page. It is intended to provide a brief summary of the contents of the page.

A good idea is to copy and paste a strong, pertinent portion of your Directory Description into the 'Meta Description Field' Field.

This can then be copied and pasted into the 'Meta Keywords' Field and then all irrelevant words can be removed and the remaining words separated with a comma.
